Kinds of app

Web

--kind web: the api, the worker, the dashboard and the administrators' dashboard. People sign in with a code sent to their email, belong to organizations with roles, and pay through Stripe or Razorpay.

Shopify

--kind shopify, the default: everything a web app has, plus the embedded app inside the Shopify admin, sign-in with Shopify's session tokens, Shopify's own billing, and the webhooks Shopify requires (app uninstalled, the data requests). Stores' access tokens are kept encrypted.

A browser extension of an app

--kind extension: a Chrome and Edge side panel that signs in through your app and calls its API. See Browser extensions.

Who owns the files

An app you make owns every file it was made with, LICENSE and NOTICE included: change any of them as your app needs. The packages it depends on stay packages, upgraded with pnpm update.

(--infra haatlabs is for our own apps on Haatlabs' servers, whose shared files haatlabs sync keeps in step; an app of yours uses the default, --infra standalone.)
